Climbing at Courtright Reservoir in August This was my first trip to Courtright reservoir and it is an awesome place to climb. The area feels pretty remote but still has good access. The climbs are classic (especially a Little Nukie but more on that in years to come), the scenery is amazing, and the camping opportunities are first-class - whether you choose the PG&E owned campsite or opt for a backcountry setup. We started with some climbs up a face just near the campground on the first day (easy multi-pitch routes) and on the second day we opted for some top-roping across the road.
