4 towns meet on Caye Caulker to determine the victor Our stay on Caye Caulker coincided with a local soccer tournament between Caye Caulker; the neighboring island's San Pedro; the northern Belize town of Orange Walk; and even San Ignacio, way up in the mountains. There were 4 games in total, the first round, and then loser vs. loser to determine 3rd and 4th places and then winner vs. winner to decide 1st and 2nd places. The games were thoroughly entertaining and we spent the better part of the day watching the game, with breaks for swimming or wandering around the island. For lunch we went to Pirate's and picked up some stew chicken and beans and rice and brought it back to our hotel where we were able to see the game from a raised platform and a few chairs. I was having fun with my camera and a fairly long (70-200) lens. I took a whole bunch of shots and decided to post a few. I especially like the pics of the free kicks.
