a short backcountry ski trip in the Sierra With such a good snow year, it's time for another backcountry ski trip. It's been a while since we did a snow camping trip so I organized the group to head out to Carson Pass for a quick weekend adventure. We skied in from the highway only a few miles and camped out close to where Jim, Jimbo and I had a few years earlier. Victor and I took a couple of turns before setting up the campsite (but we had to cut it short in order to rush back to the tents to get them set up before the rain came). Luckily the rain was over quickly and the rest of the weekend provided us with great weather. On Sunday we took a few more runs and then made our way back to the cars.
