Home/2001 photos/Tenaya Canyon

a weekend descending through the canyon Jim had a grand idea of spending a weekend descending Tenaya Canyon in Yosemite National Park. We took some basic camping and climbing gear (for the few rappels) and off we were. We hitchhiked from Yosemite Valley up to Tuomomne and took off from the Tenaya Lake trail head. After a short while we left the trail and started down the canyon. The trip was great, with awesome views and a good adventure index. We had a few sketchy traverses, some fun rappels, camping out in a bear-infested valley, and a long hike along a dried out creek bed. We were back at the car by late morning and heading back home all too soon.
